A wallet-verified address arrives already validated and signed, which removes the typo failures outright and makes address fraud considerably more expensive. On marketplaces the same mechanism confirms seller legal name, registry number and VAT status, so a trust badge points at a government record instead of a self-declaration.
Checkout asks the buyer to type an address nobody verifies. Typos turn into failed deliveries, deliberate mistakes turn into chargebacks. Marketplaces have the same problem on the supply side, where a seller profile is a display name and an email and buyers are asked to trust it with a four-figure purchase.
