Diploma and qualification verification for hiring

A degree issued as a verifiable credential is signed by the awarding institution and checks out instantly against that signature. The candidate presents it during application and you get an answer in the flow rather than a ticket in a queue. Transcripts, Erasmus records and language certificates behave the same way.

The problem

What teams do today

Verifying a foreign degree means emailing a registrar in another country and waiting days for a reply that sometimes never arrives. Employers either eat the delay, pay a background-check vendor to eat it for them, or skip the check and carry the risk. Candidates lose offers to the wait.

01
Verification finishes during application, not days later
02
Forged and withdrawn qualifications fail on signature and revocation
03
Cross-border candidates stop being the slow path
How it works

Three steps with Authbound

  1. Step 01

    Ask during application

The candidate presents diploma, transcript or certificate credentials inside the application flow.

  2. Step 02

    Check against the institution

We validate the issuer signature and revocation status, so a forged or withdrawn qualification fails immediately.

  3. Step 03

    Store the verified result

Your ATS keeps a verified qualification and its evidence instead of an unverified line on a CV.

Questions

What people ask

Which institutions issue verifiable diplomas today?
Coverage grows as European universities issue under the European Digital Credentials for Learning framework and the eIDAS 2.0 attestation rules. Treat the wallet as the fast path and keep your existing background-check route for institutions that have not started.
Can a candidate share a degree without sharing grades?
Yes. Selective disclosure lets them prove they hold a specific degree without releasing the transcript, or prove a language level without the rest of it.
Does this replace a full background check?
Only the qualification part. Criminal record checks, employment history and references stay separate.
